A 3-4 day itinerary for Zante

Zakynthos works best when each day follows one side of the island well. The town deserves its own layer, the north and the south need their own sea logic, and the west should stay dedicated and scenic.

A cleaner short-stay structure for Zante

1

Day 1 • Zakynthos Town, Bohali and evening orientation

Begin with Solomos Square, the waterfront, Agios Markos, Alexandrou Roma, Agios Dionysios and a climb to Bohali so the island gets a clear first frame.

2

Day 2 • East or south depending your base

If you stay near town or the northeast, use Tsilivi, Alykes or nearby beaches. If you stay farther south, let Vasilikos or Kalamaki lead the day more naturally.

3

Day 3 • Give the whole day to the north

Volimes, Agios Nikolaos, the Blue Caves and nearby coves are much better as a full northern day than as a rushed add-on.

4

Day 4 • Choose south-coast depth or a west-coast scenic day

Use the fourth day either for Laganas Bay, Gerakas, Marathonisi or Keri, or for a dedicated west-side route through Porto Vromi, Kampi and other viewpoints.

5

If you only have 2-3 days

Keep town for the first layer, then choose either north plus south or north plus west. Do not try to force all three major coast systems into the same short stay.

Useful notes

How this page is grounded

This itinerary is grounded in stable island geography, road logic, protected-coast context and the main destination anchors of Zakynthos.

Boat departures, traffic, opening hours and live access rules can shift and should be checked separately.

Keep each day tied to one side of the island

Zante feels lighter and more coherent when the stay follows geography instead of trying to defeat the map.
